Can the insurance company demand repayment of any part of a settlement for a house fire if I decide to sell the property after only doing part of the repairs?

They paid for repairs, appliances, cleaning household goods, moving costs, and living expenses.

I originally intended to move back, but health has changed and I want to sell. The repairs were never finished because the contractor ripped us off and now I would have to pay a significant amount of money out of pocket to finish.

Our mortgage service company keeps adding on Inspection Fees each month on our Mortgage Statement mostly $10.50 and then a $322.00 charge. When asked they said they sent someone out here to make sure our home was occupied? That is funny since we have NEVER missed a payment in 10 yrs???
I told them I wanted it removed from our balance - they had the "research Dept" send us a letter stated they do this periodically.????
Now I ask you what is up with people 'just taking' our money??

I need some advice on what to say to homeowners/customers when dealing with insurance claim payments to a general contractor. I recently settled a claim from storm damage to the insureds roof and gutters. (23 square roof and 60'gutters) the adjuster who I met at the property was great! He matched my estimate and payed over head and profit. So the rcv ends up being around $15,000.

I am a contractor that handles mostly storm damage claims.I got my customer approved for a new roof do to storm damage. The insurance originally paid out $7,ooo for the damages. When i removed the old shingles all of the decking was damaged so I filed for a supplement to replace all of the plywood. So I do the work after getting the supplement approved by the insurance company, and the homeowner refuses to pay me the supplement check . He says he is keeping it. What can I do about this?

Is there a time limit during which the repairs must be completed in order to get the recoverable depreciation? My claim has been approved, but I'd like to wait a year before having the repairs done so that I don't have to pay the deductible. Is there a rule on this?

Does anyone aware of a good insurance provider in Nevada who offers coverage for mobile home insurance? I need such a provider who accepts credit card payments. Any response would be appreciated.

I own a condo and I have a decent home insurance plan. I slipped on the wet floor and broke my right shoulder. I had to undergo a major operation to cure. The incident occurred on 16th of last month. Can I sue my home insurance provider for this?
