Hello, there is my story. when i moved to my apartment they required an insurance policy, so i took one called American modern insurance company. Couple of months later i received a phone call from a security company that was offering me their service and when i told them that i was in an apartment they told me that it wouldn’t work. The day following i came back home from school and find my door open and my stuffs missing. I called the police, they came and made their report then i called my insurance company to report the lost. Three days later i received a theft package from my insurance.

I'm a resident of Sacramento. I've heard somewhere that I can avail an earthquake insurance from the California Earthquake Authority (CEA) through participating insurance companies. Isn't that weird? I mean how can that be? How can a government entity sell insurance privately?

Any response would be appreciated..

Will the insurance repair my home siding from wind damage?

Lost a few short sections of siding on the corner of my house due to high winds (about 7'X3' worth). Was going to fix it myself but found that the color is not made any longer. The siding company did a nationwide search and was unable to find even 1 square of it (house is 8 years old). I have an adjuster coming out this week and need to know any tips on how to handle it since nothing new is going to even closely match the existing. This is not a fade issue. I reside in Iowa and have HO-3 policy that states "like kind and use".

1. This policy was in effect until 11/1/2012. I have since replaced it and no longer have State farm Ins.
2. I put in a claim to State Farm because the root damage from my neighbors tree occurred over a long period of time during which I was covered by State Farm.
3. I just discovered the true reason for the damage that has been occurring to my home by taking a chunk out the patio. A root as big as my arm was looking back at me. Neighbors pine tree is the only tree around within a 100 ft or more.

My insurance company refuses to pay me recoverable deprecation on a roof claim because of statue of limitations law. It took 4 years before I could replace my roof due to high deductible. They won't pay me because they said it has been more than 3 years. Stating N.C. law has statue of limitations. Do I have any recourse to recovery this money?

My ex has prohibited the insurance company and agents from talking to me although they have our belongings in storage. We have now heard all our belongings were returned to the property which has not had any work completed as they paid him money to get it done himself. It seems he has gained from our written off belongings, which were considerable but refuses to discuss or provide information although I have a beneficial interest in the property when (if ) fit to sell.

I am a new home buyer. My first question is, how does the the lender figure PMI? I've been reading, but all I find is "Base Points". I just want to figure the %.

Here is my situation. I'm buying a HUD home on the Good Neighbor Next Door (GNND) Program. The home's "AS IS" value is $30K. Under GNND, I must get a loan for $15K to purchase the home and pay $100 down. However, I'm using a FHA 203K to finance repairs. I'm think $15K for repairs, which puts me at a loan for $30K (the value of the home). Lender is charging 4.0% Interest rate. What will be the PMI?

Weekly visits to house and to move things to another new house. House still has a lot of household items. There was a burst pipe at the water tank causing damage to ceiling flooring and cupboards etc. Insurers indicated that theloss would have been discovered if the Insured was at home. Can Insurers throw off claim based saying that the house is untenanted?
