The problem is that I have a misdemeanor on my record of petty theft... Will this be a problem in me getting my license?

It will require you to submit the court's "minute orders" from your case showing the transcript of the events leading to your conviction as well as your punishment. It could result in being called to a hearing to determine your fitness for licensing. If that happens, issuance of your license may be delayed up to a year, while you await your hearing.

I passed my state exam but now I need to get finger printeted. I am very concerned because I do have a criminal past that I didn't disclose. It was 13 years ago. Petit larceny. I have changed my life since than but back than I was struggling and things were different. I don't feel it should stop me from getting this job. I have worked so hard to change my life around. Does anyone know what might happen?

I was Mortgage Broker in Illinois for 18 years. I worked for several Brokers.
One of the brokers was doing fraudulent deals, without anyone in the office knowledge. Everyone in the office was penalized. I received a misdemeanor in attempted forgery. Would I be able to acquire a Insurance Agent license? This happened in 2007.
